Our Portland tradition for christmas is that their is a cristmas person who lives in the north pole and he brings the kids more presents and the kids have to go to bed early because if santa comes and if your still awake when santa comes he won't come by your house on his sleigh to bring your presents and people are supossed to bake cookies and put them on a plate with a glass of milk and when santa come he will eat the cookies with the milk and in the morning their will be lots more presents under the christmans tree and in the morning that one family will open the present from their tree and somtimes they will go to their other family and they will usualy have presents from other people and this year my dad had to work on christmas so we went to my garandparents house at night so my dad would be their and a few days before christmas everybody puts up a tree for the holiday and decorate it with prety ortements.
In the morning the wonderful familys will sometimes have their PJ's on and will let the children goo first and they will open their presents from MOM,DAD AND SANTA CLAUS AND AT TIMES OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS
